What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Melblon mobile app. The landing page and early-access list have separate, limited data handling that is described when you submit your email there.

What information Melblon handles

Depending on how you use the app, Melblon may handle:

• Account information, such as your email address, account identifier, and sign-in details.
• Profile and preference information, such as a name, language, timezone, selected goals, and consent choices.
• App content and progress, such as assessment answers, exercise responses, reflections, completed activities, and progress records that you choose to create in the app.
• Technical information, such as information needed by the app and its service providers to authenticate an account, protect the service, and operate the app.

Some sensitive app content is stored locally on your device in encrypted storage. When you use an account and sync-enabled app features, profile, progress, and exercise-response information may also be stored with the services described below.

How we use information

We use information to:

• create and secure your account;
• save, show, and synchronize the content and progress you choose to keep;
• remember your settings and consent choices;
• operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the app; and
• respond to requests about your account, privacy, or support.

Melblon does not use your reflections or exercise responses to diagnose you, make clinical decisions, or provide treatment.

Analytics is your choice

Analytics is disabled unless you choose to enable it in the app. You can change that choice in Settings. Turning analytics off stops future analytics collection through the app's analytics service; it does not remove data already processed.

Where information is stored and shared

Melblon uses Firebase services provided by Google for authentication, cloud data storage, and functions that support app features, including account deletion. Google processes this information as a service provider on Melblon's behalf. Firebase may process data in the United States and other locations where Google or its providers operate.

We do not sell your personal information or use your reflections for advertising. We may disclose information where required to comply with law, enforce rights, or protect the safety and security of Melblon and others.

How long we keep information

We keep account and cloud-synced app information while your account remains active and for the time needed to operate the app, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Local information remains on your device until you remove it, reset the app's data, or remove the app, subject to your device's own backup and storage settings.

Your choices and deletion

You can review or change analytics consent in Settings. You can use the app's Reset all data control to erase local app data. If you are signed in, this control also requests deletion of your server-stored user data and account, then signs you out. If you need help with a privacy request, email us at info@melblon.com.

Security

Melblon uses encrypted local storage for certain sensitive content and relies on Firebase security protections for supported cloud services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please protect your device and account credentials.

Children and adults

Melblon is intended for adults. Do not use the app if you are under 18, unless a parent or guardian is involved and local law permits your use.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Melblon or its data practices change. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do.
